Access to Tegenungan Waterfall
Actually, Tegenungan Waterfall is not recommended for people with limited physical activity. But wait, I have a solution for that.
You can visit the waterfall only to the starting point, where there are no steps to go through. Alternatively, you can use the lift or elevator from OMMA Club. By using the lift, you can go down and witness the beautiful view of the waterfall from a closer distance. But keep in mind, this is a restaurant.
But for those who want to use the regular route to the lowest point, I suggest using the stairs. The stairs down are quite easy and can be walked. You don’t need shoes, sandals are enough.
Restaurants in Tegenungan Waterfall
At Tegenungan Waterfall, you can find several restaurants, from big to small. Restaurants can also be a good choice to enjoy the view of the waterfall while relaxing and enjoying your drink or food. OMMA Day Club and D’Tukad River Club are two of the biggest restaurants with beautiful views. The price is a bit expensive, but not too expensive. Another option, you can visit Dewa Adi & Ari Warung, a small local restaurant but also has a beautiful view of the waterfall.
Blangsinga Waterfall or Tegenungan Waterfall?
Don’t get confused with Tegenungan Waterfall or Blangsinga Waterfall, both are the same waterfall and are located in the same location. The difference is where you come from, the entrance ticket you pay. Because this waterfall is located between 2 villages, namely Tegenungan village and Blangsinga village, this waterfall also has an entrance gate.
Blangsinga waterfall entrance fee
If you come from Gianyar or eastern Bali, the closest way to this waterfall is from Blangsinga village, so this waterfall is called Blangsinga Waterfall. However, if you come from Ubud, Kuta, Seminyak, southern or western Bali, the fastest way is to visit Tegenungan Waterfall.

Best Time to Visit Tegenungan Waterfall
The best time to visit is in the morning before 07:30 or in the afternoon around 17:00 to avoid the crowd, the heat of the sun, and to get good photos, the golden hour is 07:00. When you arrive at Tegenungan Waterfall, you will see the changing booths on the left and the waterfall in front. If you want to climb the cliff, you have to cross the bamboo bridge.
Otherwise, just enjoy the waterfall and climb up later. If you want to avoid the crowd, I suggest you come as early as possible because it is a popular tourist attraction in Bali, especially for those of you who stay in Ubud, because it is the closest waterfall from Ubud, only 20 minutes by car or motorbike.
